Key Specifications
- Manufactured in accordance with IEC 62271-1, 62271-102 and IEC 62271-103.
- Designed for isolating and sectionalizing portions of the MV distribution grids for maintenance, fault isolation or load management, with load breaking feature.
- Engineered for reliable operation in harsh outdoor environments, including extreme temperatures, high humidity, heavy pollution, and high altitudes.
- Equipped with a spring-loaded, fast open-close mechanism.
- The breaking whip operates on the arc elongation principle, extinguishing the arc through rapid stretching and deionization as the contacts separate. Its simple and robust construction contains no additional moving parts, requiring no maintenance throughout its service life.
- The main frame and shafts are constructed from hot-dip galvanized steel, offering superior corrosion resistance and durability.
- Equipped with porcelain, epoxy resin or silicone rubber insulators featuring minimum creepage distances of 20 mm/kV, in compliance with IEC 60815 pollution class requirements.
- Fixed and moving contacts are machined from electrolytic copper, silver- or nickel-plated, to maintain low and stable contact resistance throughout the service life.
- Suitable for installation and operation in both horizontal and vertical mounting orientations.
- Custom configurations available on request.
